He/She must demonstrate the ability to: develop and maintain complex automated supply and equipment inventory records; compile and prepare regular inventory status reports; critically analyze and recommend resolution of supply and equipment related problems; prepare and present division budget; remain up-to-date with surgical equipment and supply trends; apply effective judgement in employing and dealing with subordinate personnel; effectively and resourcefully resolve problems and fill a primary role in maintaining efficient departmental operations; work effectively and in cooperation with other organizations, departments and personnel; and provide support and assistance utilizing management principles and team work to promote achievement of common goals and to resolve problems. He/She takes a leadership role, working with the physicians, management staff, and vendors to integrate the institutional perspective in operating areas to achieve high levels of patient, physician, and employee satisfaction.
