This part-time position reports directly to the Regional Director and plays a key role in advancing small business growth and economic development.The Business Advisor provides one-on-one counseling to small business clients in all stages of development — from start-up to expansion. The ideal candidate will bring a strong business background, practical experience, and a passion for supporting entrepreneurs. May include some local reimbursable travel and evening hours. <h2 style="line-height:1.295;margin-top:3px">Key Responsibilities:</h2><ul><li style="list-style-type:disc">Provide confidential, in-depth business counseling in areas that include:<ul><li style="list-style-type:disc">Financial analysis and projections</li><li style="list-style-type:disc">Business plan development</li><li style="list-style-type:disc">Marketing strategies and market research</li><li style="list-style-type:disc">Presenting occasional topical seminars</li></ul></li></ul> <h2 style="line-height:1.295;margin-top:3px">Qualifications:</h2><ul><li style="list-style-type:disc">Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Finance, Economics, or a related field</li><li style="list-style-type:disc">Minimum of 5 years of experience in private-sector business, entrepreneurship, banking, finance, or a related technical assistance environment</li><li style="list-style-type:disc">Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills</li><li style="list-style-type:disc">Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively</li></ul>   <h2 style="line-height:1.295;margin-top:3px">Salary: </h2>A starting hourly rate of $28.73 an hour. We reasonably expect the general radius for this hire to be within one to two hours of our Hopewell Junction, NY office in the beautiful Hudson Valley. Our current hybrid schedule is three days every other week on-site (six days a month). Those days are already on the calendar. We're explicit about radius because this cadence may shift in the future — likely toward more on-site time, not less. We need people who can not only maintain the current rhythm but embrace a more frequent on-site cadence if the company moves that direction.
