Ability to read and manufacture blueprints or shop drawings with minimal supervision to apply working knowledge of the methods, equipment, materials, and tools to fabricate and install highly complex, craftsman quality exhibits. Assure quality workmanship with cut, fit, and install of material according to specific measurements making sure corners are crisp, joints are tight, and moldings are level.

Objective: To provide an excellent finished product representing the skills and capabilities held by the company. To accurately cut, fabricate and install wooden and other structures according to specifications working in diverse settings. Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for adhering to all Company and Project safety programs, policies, and procedures as well as all Federal, State, and local safety codes and regulations. Clean jobsite area to ensure safe and workable area. Help with moving materials and equipment. Focus on finer details of woodworking with excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction. Advanced techniques with woodworking machinery like Bandsaw, drill press, and bench grinder. Planning layout and altering designs as needed. Cutting and shaping components by determining appropriate methods for cutting, shaping, and assembling parts. Assembles and fastens materials to make frameworks or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue. Assure quality workmanship with cut, fit, and install of material according to specific measurements making sure corners are crisp, joints are tight, and moldings are level. Experience in the safe operation and maintenance of fork and scissor lifts Ensures the accuracy of work by checking completed projects with tools such as levels, surveying equipment, or framing squares; corrects problems as needed. Qualifications / Experience / Skills and Attributes: 4-6 years working experience with carpentry rough, finish, trim and understanding of various building materials and finishes. Experience in exhibit fabrication with attention to finish detail and keen eye for aesthetics Good mechanical and technical skills Ability to interpret and work from sketches, blueprints, or detailed drawings. Able to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with all customers, team members and management. Must have good planning and time-management skills. Ability to be punctual and dependable. Tool Essentials (self-provided): 25 Tape Measure Square framing and/or speed square Hammer Mallet Pencils / Markers Box Cutter Knife Impact drill Hammer drill and/or regular drill. Batteries and chargers aligned with power tools above. Other essential hand tools along the way Tool pouch, bag or travel box works best Working Conditions / Schedule: While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a climate-controlled work setting. Hours: 7am 3:30pm (MON-FRI) 30-minute lunch (unpaid) 15-minute break (paid) Physical Requirements: The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to lift 50 lbs. with assistance from others or lifting devices from floor to waist and waist to floor. Ability to walk, stand, hear, see to reasonably perform essential job functions. Abilities include drag, pull, lift, push, bend, kneel, climb, overhead work, torque, and other repetitive motions.
