Provides nursing services including: monitoring of withdrawal symptoms, monitoring of medications including MAT, monitoring vitals, direct communication with treatment medical providers on or off-site for referrals to other provides and community health resources, health instruction to patients, and instruction and in-servicing to counseling line staff including monitoring of self-administration of prescribed medication. Ability to perform under circumstances of possible emotional stress and conflicts dealing with difficult, uncooperative, and potentially aggressive clients as VOALA serves the neediest of the needy in our programs which may include clients with homelessness, mental-illness, substance abuse, recently released from incarceration and other challenges.
