MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Specialized experience GS-09: Providing professional nursing care principles, practices and procedures required to assess needs of patients; knowledge of pharmaceuticals, their desired effects, side effects, and complications of their use; recognizing adverse signs and symptoms which are not always apparent and to react promptly in emergency situations including the implementation of life saving procedures; providing counseling, guidance and health instruction to patients; and identifying disease entities in order to recognize complications and therapeutic interventions required. Specialized experience GS-11: Providing expert-level nursing assessment and triage for patients presenting with acute illness, injury, trauma, or life-threatening conditions, rapidly evaluates clinical data to determine priorities of care, independently initiates appropriate emergency nursing interventions, recognizes conditions requiring immediate provider involvement, delivers emergency nursing care based on medical plan, coordinates emergency care with providers and multidisciplinary team, accurately documents patient care in health record to support clinical continuity, legal/regulatory requirements, and patient safety.
