Mechanical engineers will develop refrigeration schematics, size, and select components which make up a complete refrigeration system, compile bill of materials, design the layout of equipment, perform essential calculations to determine required performance, review and interpret customer plans and specifications, and interface with sales, service, production, and outside customers. Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk throughout the office and production areas; have use of hands and fingers to use a computer, telephone, and other office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
