Contacts: The incumbent has contact with: The Director of School Services in Speech-Language Pathology, the Directors and staff of other units, various individuals and groups internal and external to ASHA including ASHA members the Board of Directors, Advisory Council,, National Office staff, leaders in related professional organizations and other national professional and advocacy organizations, and policy makers in state and federal government agencies. A. General Description: The purpose of this position is to support ASHA's strategic direction and provide expert speech-language pathology practice information and assistance to members, other National Office staff, and external organizations; assist in policy development and dissemination; track national trends; initiate, develop, and disseminate resources, books, and products; assist in professional development program content and delivery.
