This class differs from classes in the Business Management series in that the Waterworks Fiscal Officer is primarily concerned with the administration of the fiscal program of the Department of Water Supply, utilizing specialized public utility accounting systems, techniques and practices, and, in addition, is responsible for purchasing and personnel activities; whereas, classes in the Business Management series are concerned with the management of the entire business affairs of a department or institution, including accounting, purchasing, and personnel operations. Administers the fiscal program for the Department of Water Supply; acts in a staff capacity to departmental management in relation to fiscal matters; supervises and directs the development and maintenance of financial and accounting records; and performs other duties as required.
