The RRT performs these functions primarily in critical care areas in addition to other wards; assumes primary responsibility for all respiratory care modalities, including assisting in the orientation of new Respiratory Therapist; initiates and conducts therapeutic procedures, maintain patient records, and selects, assembles, checks, and operates equipment.
