An employee is this position will be responsible for performing skilled mechanical work involving the inspection, preventive maintenance and repair of transit buses, and/or a wide variety of complex light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles and mobile equipment (such as dump trucks, cement mixers, excavators, graders, loaders, back-hoes, rollers, various types of tractors, trenchers, tow trucks, and street sweepers, etc.). The Department of General Services, Fleet Management Services is seeking Mechanics that are highly skilled or have good aptitude to perform maintenance and repairs on heavy duty vehicles, diesel, alternative fuel and/or gasoline powered buses and related equipment.
