Provides support to the department in the areas of quality control, troubleshooting complex problems, customer support, instrument and equipment maintenance, staff training, process improvement and the completion of special projects as assigned.
ul>Master's degree in Chemistry; or Master's degree in Biochemistry or Chemical Engineering and 9 graduate semester hours in Chemistry; or Master's degree and 18 graduate semester hours in Chemistry. Courses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities: MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery) and Blended Classes.
li>Provides timely mentoring and coaching to Med Techs to ensure quality test results and accuracy, fosters staff empowerment, open communication, leads and guides staff to build an engaged team. - Ensures department meets/exceeds and sustains Service & Clinical Index scores, metrics; conducts huddles, and communicates Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers (HCAHPS) results.
