OverviewThe Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) is responsible for leading high-impact projects and ensuring accountability for key timelines and milestones. This role drives supplier quality, process and product development, and continuous improvement initiatives to support high-volume manufacturing (HVM).Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Lead cross-functional teams—including business development, engineering, manufacturing, process engineering, field service, and suppliers—through new product development and production release</li><li>Own and drive supplier-related projects, including supplier selection, qualification, and performance improvement</li><li>Apply structured problem-solving methodologies to define issues, assess risks, analyze data, and deliver actionable recommendations</li><li>Coordinate development activities across suppliers and internal product teams</li><li>Implement industry-standard process control methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma) to improve production efficiency and product quality</li><li>Drive continuous improvement programs (CIP) to increase first-pass yield and reduce contamination levels in manufacturing processes</li><li>Design and conduct experiments and validation tests to support process and product development</li><li>Serve as the primary quality advocate for assigned products across internal organizations</li></ul>Required Skills & Qualifications<ul><li>Strong foundation in surface treatment processes, including precision cleaning and contamination control</li><li>Solid project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills</li><li>Working knowledge of:<ul><li>Statistical Process Control (SPC)</li><li>Design of Experiments (DOE)</li><li>Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)</li><li>Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA), 8D, and 5 Whys methodologies</li></ul></li><li>Experience with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and statistical tools (e.g., JMP, Minitab)</li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical reporting and presentations</li><li>Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams</li></ul>Education & Experience<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field with 4+ years of relevant experience; or advanced degree preferred</li><li>Experience in surface treatments and/or precision cleaning within high-volume manufacturing environments (e.g., semiconductor, MEMS, PCB) is strongly preferred</li></ul>
