The candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate-level courses related to Chemistry as needed by the Department, especially those in General Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, and Physical Science. The incumbent will also participate in departmental activities and initiatives.DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li style="line-height:115%">Provide quality instruction and facilitate effective student learning to undergraduate courses in Chemistry and related courses using a variety of current instructional modalities</li><li style="line-height:115%">Create, prepare, and supervise undergraduate laboratories and lab activities.</li><li style="line-height:115%">Use both internal (g. D2L) and external learning management systems to deliver relevant course materials and information to students.</li><li style="line-height:115%">Develop course objectives, assignments, and means of evaluating student performance for the course.</li><li style="line-height:115%">Provide prompt feedback on student assignments.</li><li style="line-height:115%">Engage undergraduate level students in research opportunities.</li><li style="line-height:115%">Develop and maintain an externally funded research program</li><li style="line-height:115%">Perform other job-related duties as assigned.</li></ul>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS <ul><li style="line-height:115%">Ph.D. in Chemistry.</li><li style="line-height:115%">Ability to successfully pass a background check</li><li style="line-height:115%">Excellent analytical, organizational, and communicative skills and teamwork</li></ul>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS <ul><li style="line-height:115%">Background in Inorganic Chemistry</li><li style="line-height:115%">Prior experience teaching Chemistry lectures and laboratories at the undergraduate level</li><li style="line-height:115%">Ability to create learning environments in which students can learn and thrive</li><li style="line-height:115%">Have energy- or catalysis-related research experience</li></ul>REQUIRED DOCUMENTS<ul><li style="line-height:115%">A letter of interest that addresses the responsibilities and qualifications of the position.</li><li style="line-height:115%">Current curriculum vitae</li><li style="line-height:115%">Undergraduate and graduate transcripts</li><li style="line-height:115%">At least 3 references with full contact information including emails.
