Join us and grow with a leader in the industry!The Janitor position is responsible for performing all-purpose cleaning and preservation of assigned area inside a particular building or multiple client sites.  Exact tasks of janitorial crew are not definite, consequently, must be flexible in performing assigned duties per client's specifications. RESPONSIBILITIES: <ul><li>Empty and clean all waste container. Remove waste paper and garbage from the premises to selected area; damp wipe containers.</li><li>Empty and clean all ash trays, monitor all sand urns supply and restore sand as required.</li><li>Dust all image frames, charts, graphs and wall hangings</li><li>Damp dust all ceiling and air condition diffusers, partition grilles, register and other ventilating louvers</li><li>Vacuum all mats and carpeted areas in workplace, lobbies, and corridors.</li><li>Hand dust and clean all office furnishings, files, fixtures, paneling, window sills and all other flat surfaces</li><li>Wipe clean and buff all mental hardware fixtures and added bright work</li><li>Appropriately clean and police tile floor services as required.</li><li>Damp wipe and buff all glass furnishings</li><li>Clean entry door glass indoors and outer surface</li><li>Remove all stains from vertical surfaces such as doors, door frames, and around light switches, private entry glass and dividers</li><li>Wash, clean and sterilize all water coolers</li><li>Sweep private stairways, and vacuum if carpeted</li><li>Clean building floors, by sweeping and mopping</li><li>Clean and sanitize, and restock supplies in bathrooms</li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS:  <ul><li>Must be able to follow written and oral directions</li><li>Minimum of 6 months of experience in a janitorial type position.</li></ul>  Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer. This position plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, sanitary, and comfortable environment by ensuring proper handling of linens, laundry, and facility cleanliness. Essential Duties & Responsibilities <ul><li>Ensure an adequate supply of clean linens is available daily for resident care and comfort</li><li>Inspect linens and remove items with stains or damage from service</li><li>Collect resident laundry daily or as needed</li><li>Label new resident clothing items as required</li><li>Sort, treat, wash, dry, and fold clothing and linens properly</li><li>Deliver clean laundry to resident rooms in a timely manner</li><li>Follow all sanitary and infection control procedures related to laundry duties</li><li>Maintain inventory of laundry supplies and notify supervisor when replenishment is needed</li><li>Operate washers, dryers, and related equipment safely and according to guidelines</li><li>Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the Administrator immediately</li><li>Maintain cleanliness of laundry areas and surrounding workspaces</li><li>Perform additional housekeeping or janitorial duties as assigned</li></ul>Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position has no supervisory responsibilities. QualificationsEducation & Experience: <ul><li>High School Diploma or GED required</li><li>One (1) year of laundry or housekeeping experience preferred</li></ul> Skills & Abilities: <ul><li>Ability to read and understand directions related to laundry and housekeeping procedures</li><li>Basic math skills</li><li>Ability to problem-solve and seek assistance when needed</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team</li></ul>Physical Demands <ul><li>Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds</li><li>Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching</li><li>Regular use of industrial washers, dryers, and laundry equipment</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment</li></ul> Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
