Reports To:  Patient Access Director Classification: Non-Exempt QUALIFICATIONS  High School diploma or GED required.  Two years clerical experience in medical facility or office preferred.  Computer experience required with knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.  Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to speak effectively to internal and external customers required.  Ability to speak English language required.  Position requires attendance for facility opening beginning at 5am or earlier.                                              OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE Category III, office environment. RESPONSIBILITIES <ol><li>Performs reception and telephone operator activities for effective communication with all areas of the facility.</li><li>Performs administrative functions.</li><li>Screens phone calls, redirects calls, directs complaints to proper channels, and completes special assignments.</li><li>Collect, sort, distribute and prepare mail, messages and courier deliveries.</li><li>Performs other office, secretarial, and clerical duties as assigned. </li><li>Stick Charts      </li><li>Participates in cross-training as needed within Admissions Department.</li><li>Comply with facility Standards of Behavior and complete all required education assignments within the designated timeline.         </li></ol>   PHYSICAL DEMANDS <ol><li>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
