As a Medical Office Receptionist, you need to know how to:  <ul><li>Have the highest quality customer service on the phone and in person</li><li>Greet patients and visitors. Determine their needs and direct them appropriately.</li><li>Perform data entry of demographic and insurance information</li><li>Schedule and register patients, including accurately collecting required data</li><li>Receive, answer, and respond to telephone calls from patients and their representatives</li><li>Scan and fax patient information</li><li>Answer questions and give information directly or on the telephone within the scope of practice.  Refer all other questions to the specified departments as needed.</li><li>Collect co-pays, deductibles, and past balances as indicated on the insurance card or as documented by billing staff.  Update new insurance information as received.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned</li></ul> Your experience.
