This is a civilian position within the Police Department with no arrest powers. Typical duties include handling traffic-related assignments, working in the call center, and preparing reports and/or documentation. PSA may also assist in the Emergency Command Center, Records, Dispatch, Animal Shelter, and may operate a department motor vehicle as necessary for assigned tasks.A Day in the Life:<ul><li>Accepts responsibility to support and promote the agency's mission and core values. Maintains, applies knowledge of, and follows departmental policies, procedures, law and regulations.</li><li>Works in the Police Department command center performing tasks such as answering and fielding phone calls, fingerprinting, and taking in-person and over-the-counter police reports.
