It renovates 180,000 gross square feet of the existing building, including 160,000 square feet of indoor space and 20,000 square feet of covered outdoor walkways and seating, and adds 50,000 gross square feet of new space. Plan reviews required before bidding, including the State Fire Marshal, DSA (the Division of the State Architect, the state office that reviews plans for public schools and state buildings), life safety and code plan check, seismic peer review, mechanical systems review, and commissioning where needed.
