Responsibilities include performing initial student assessments (safety status, physical and/or emotional complaints, hygiene, etc.), monitoring self-administration of medications (prescribed or otherwise), maintaining state-required student health assessment records, prioritizing daily telephone calls regarding student’s health issues and/or medications, and observing, documenting and reporting medication issues/concerns to the appropriate MD or prescribing doctor. It includes Manchester Memorial Hospital, a 249-bed community hospital, Rockville General, a campus of Manchester Memorial Hospital, a 102-bed facility, a large multispecialty provider group, visiting nurse services and a clinical day school.
