Assist with shift coverage as needed. Be flexible to work different hours to ensure continuity among shift.</li><li>Evaluate staff performance and provide corrective measures as necessary.</li><li>Contribute to the development of others within the team through supervision, mentoring, and positive role modelling.</li><li>Assist in evaluation and assessment of client needs and care.</li><li>Provide direct assistance or collaborate with team or referral provider to ensure client obtains the basic necessities of daily life and appropriate medical care.</li><li>Provide or coordinate staff training to include CPR, first aid, and medication management.</li><li>Order medications as prescribed. Assist with the administration of prescription and nonprescription medication. Instruct clients in self administration of medication.</li><li>Document client activity in chart as required by company operating procedure.</li><li>Maintain and monitor procedures and practices for administering and storage of medications.</li><li>Maintain compliance with all applicable practice standards, guidelines, and HIPAA requirements.</li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned.</li></ol>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:<ol><li>Thorough knowledge of medical protocols as it relates to mental illness.</li><li>Knowledge of community resources and ability to network and develop relationships with community leaders.</li><li>Knowledge of and skill in using computer keyboard for typing.</li><li>Knowledge of and skill in administering CPR, first aid and medication management</li><li>Ability to maintain a South Dakota Registered Nurse License.</li><li>Ability to respond to clients by phone and face to face in emergency situations.</li><li>Ability to interact professionally with clients and customers.</li><li>Ability to sit to type on computer keyboard for short to moderate lengths of time.</li><li>Ability to maintain a South Dakota driver’s license and vehicle liability insurance and safely operate a vehicle in all weather conditions.</li></ol>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:CNP in the State of South Dakota.
