Manages complex large transit related civil engineering design including, architectural, civil, traffic, track, structural, geotechnical, landscaping, ventilation, station electrical, lighting, and urban design efforts, directing work teams and coordinating between work efforts of multiple design teams, multiple Engineering subject matter experts and multiple alternative delivery Contractors; Administration and management of engineering Consultant contracts, including peer reviews, design reviews, contract packaging, schedules, budgets, construction support, and risk assessments. Provides support to the department/division and others on matters as directed; serves as staff on a variety of boards, commissions, and committees; Prepares and presents staff reports and other necessary correspondence to Sound Transit leadership including Board and Executive leadership; attends and participates in professional group meetings; maintains awareness of new trends and developments in the fields related to area of assignment; incorporates new developments as appropriate; ensures processes, policies and practices are interpreted and applied consistently and effectively; ensures accountability and compliance with all current and applicable state and federal laws, Agency policies and procedures, rules and regulations.
