This includes setting up and verifying tooling and setting part offsets. Job Responsibilities<ul><li>Knowledgeable in the use and application of precision measuring instruments. A Roll Turner at Steel of West Virginia will be responsible for:<ul><li>Setting up lathes through installation process, verifies settings by accurately measuring positions, monitoring progress, and conducting quality control checks with guidance.</li><li>Taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes, adjusting and reprogramming controls, sharpening and replacing worn tools, and maintaining quality assurance procedures and processes.</li><li>Planning machining by studying work orders, blueprints and specifications and interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances.</li><li>Programing lathes to create new rolls from metal blanks or to dress rolls to return them to within required specifications by entering instructions, setting tool registries, and calculating requirements.</li><li>Making accurate calculations using basic math, geometry and trigonometry.</li><li>Other duties as required.</li></ul>
