Job Description Title: CNC Machine Operator (Computer Numerical Control) "This position includes a sign-on bonus of $3K". Key Accountabilities: 1. Operate Computer Numerical Control (CNC) HELLER machining centers with Siemens 840 D Controllers according to instructions, routings, control plans, production requirements, plans and diagrams. 2. Study machining instructions, routings, control plans, job orders, and blueprints to determine dimensional and finish specifications, sequences of operations, complex machine setups, and tooling requirements. 3. Select the appropriate tools, and materials to be used in preparation of cubic engine components. 4. Set up, adjust, and operate all of the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools to perform precision machining operations. 5. Check precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, fixed and telescoping gauges, templates and fixtures, and adjust according to quality control plans. 6. Perform fine-tuning of tools/equipment through sample cuts and optimize the CNC program in regard to tool durability, preventing the collision of tools/equipment, program sequencing Observe machines operation in order to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and adjust machines to compensate for problems. 7. Stop machines to remove finished work pieces, or to change tooling, setup, or work piece placement, according to required machining sequences. 8. Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments. 9. Maintain industrial machines within the scope of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) specifications, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures. 10. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas Identify and reduce non-value-added work. 11. Perform special projects as may be required and maintain on the job flexibility by providing support in other production related areas. 12. Promote a compliance culture in area of responsibility and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls-Royce Code of Conduct. Position would require the candidate to be a W2 employee of Donatech. US Citizenship/Permanent Resident Required. Within this role, you will primarily operate equipment with CNC controllers. Set machine controls, measure and load tools, fixtures, programs, and operate machine. Load and unload parts onto machine and fixtures from pallets or containers. Use hand-tools, ratchets, air tools, or other devices to secure parts and fixtures. Machine parts to blueprint specifications. Check parts to quality specifications.
