Position Summary: This role is responsible for delivering primary and episodic patient care in accordance with established standards, guidelines, and clinical protocols.Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and patient assessments, including urgent, emergent, and non-urgent cases.</li><li>Select, order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies to evaluate patient conditions and support clinical findings.</li><li>Review and analyze diagnostic reports and test results to determine diagnoses.</li><li>Prescribe or administer treatments, therapies, medications, vaccinations, and other specialized medical interventions to treat or prevent illness and injury.</li><li>Perform clinical procedures, including laceration repairs and orthopedic care, and provide referrals to medical specialists as needed.</li><li>Explain medical procedures, test results, and treatment plans to patients.</li><li>Document clinical findings and treatment plans in patient records, including follow-up notes, and ensure charts are completed and closed within 24–48 hours.</li><li>Manage communications related to recruiting, training, and trade events as required.</li><li>Provide medical orders, direction, care services, consultation, supervision of healthcare staff, and chart review. The Physician is available via direct telecommunication for consultation, assistance with medical emergencies, or patient referrals.</li><li>Oversee special projects and perform additional duties as assigned. This position is designated as safety-sensitive.</li></ul>Qualifications:Education:<ul><li>Medical Doctor (MD/DO), Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant degree from an accredited institution.</li></ul>Licensure/Certification:<ul><li>Must obtain and maintain an active professional license.</li><li>Nurse Practitioners must hold current board certification.</li><li>Must meet all state and federal licensing requirements, including DEA registration.</li><li>Must maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>One year of experience preferred but not required.</li></ul>Skills:<ul><li>Knowledge of medical coding and billing practices.</li><li>Familiarity with state and federal regulations, including OSHA, HIPAA, bloodborne pathogen standards, and related requirements.</li><li>Proficiency with standard computer applications, including internet use, email, and Microsoft Office.</li><li>Ability to supervise, train, and evaluate both new and existing provider staff.</li></ul>Working Conditions:<ul><li>May be exposed to patient-related elements on an occasional basis.</li><li>Work environment may involve unpredictable situations and frequent interruptions.</li><li>May occasionally require irregular or extended work hours.</li><li>Periodic exposure to a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.</li><li>May require lifting, carrying, or pushing equipment or assisting with patient movement.  <div style="text-align:center"><img alt="" height="295" src="https://assets.jazz.co/customers/customer_20251218232105_7YTYL6FWIDICPBZH/layout/20251218233413-image.png" width="675"/></div><div><div><div style="width:100%;height:0;padding-bottom:56.25%"></div></div></div></li></ul>Powered by JazzHR
