Job Summary:  Responsible for assisting individuals and communities in recovering from the effects of disasters through the provision of community-based outreach and psycho-educational services. Duties and Responsibilities: <ul><li>Provide outreach and emotional support to individuals, families, and groups. </li><li>Conducts individual and group crisis counseling, public education, and referrals when needed. </li><li>Networks with the community and other agencies to ensure needs of survivors are met. </li><li>Provides presentations to community groups on disaster reactions, coping skills, stress, and other relevant educational materials. </li><li>Utilizes mobile applications to complete data forms and assists with telehealth services when applicable. </li><li>Conducts needs assessments and creates individual plan of service. </li><li>Provides consistent updates to assessments as needed. </li></ul>Qualifications and Requirements: <ul><li>Experience with behavioral health in crisis and disaster settings a plus. </li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with clients and their families. </li><li>Active listening skills. </li><li>Timely and accurate data entry. </li><li>Ability to update and maintain documentation and complete assessments. </li><li>Empathy and compassion in dealing managing individuals in crisis. </li><li>Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. </li><li>Able to travel to various locations within the region assigned. Mileage reimbursement provided. </li></ul>Hours of Work:  Full-Time and Part-Time Shifts are available including mornings, afternoons, evening and weekend hours.

They will collaborate closely with colleagues and occasionally work online or during irregular hours. They are responsible for maintaining cleanliness, ensuring equipment and supplies are well-maintained, functional, and adhering to OSHA standards to provide a safe work environment.Physical Effort:The Faculty, Physics and Astronomy, must maintain physical condition for their duties, including standing, walking, sitting, moderate lifting, manual dexterity, equipment operation, and computer screen exposure. They may occasionally handle up to 15 pounds. They must have good audio-visual perception for observations, reading, writing, equipment operation, and communication. The Faculty, Physics and Astronomy, should demonstrate intellectual capabilities, numerical proficiency, and confidentiality to make informed decisions while evaluating programs, services, and personal effectiveness.Schedule:This position requires the faculty member to be present on campus and/or at a medical, business, and industry location daily for teaching, learning, or administrative responsibilities in accordance with the College's Curriculum Faculty Workload Policy.Travel:Local travel between campuses, medical, businesses, industry locations, and elementary, middle, and high schools may be required.
