By joining this talent pipeline, you will be the first to be notified when suitable opportunities arise within our Manufacturing function.Cambrex's Process Technician positions will be on-site at our High Point, NC site. Process Technician 1 will conduct activities associated with the GMP Kilo and Pilot Plant at Cambrex. These activities include material handling, equipment maintenance, utilities operations and chemical process support.

Responsibilities:
<ul><li style="margin-left:0.5in">Basic knowledge of manufacturing equipment operations including batch reactors, filters, dryers and pumps.</li><li style="margin-left:0.5in">Move material between the warehouse and the process suites.</li><li style="margin-left:0.5in">Basic knowledge of equipment and facility maintenance for the GMP and large-scale production areas. Basic ability to clean equipment and manufacturing facility. </li><li style="margin-left:0.5in">Work with scientific staff to complete chemistry projects.</li><li style="margin-left:0.5in">This position works with and handles hazardous materials and wastes at Cambrex. This person has the appropriate qualifications to read, understand, apply and communicate written and verbal information regarding handling and managing hazardous wastes. Training is required within six months of assuming duty and once a year thereafter.</li><li style="margin-left:0.5in">Responsible for recognizing emergency situations concerning hazardous materials and wastes.</li></ul>

Qualifications / Skills::
 <ul><li style="margin:0in 4.7pt 0.0001pt 0.5in">Hazardous materials handling experience: flammable liquids, compressed gases, toxic solids.</li><li style="margin:0in 4.7pt 0.0001pt 0.5in">Writing skills for procedures and reports.</li><li style="margin:0in 4.7pt 0.0001pt 0.5in">Basic chemical processing skills: weighing, calculations, GMP documentation, vacuum and pressure operations</li><li style="margin:0in 4.7pt 0.0001pt 0.5in">Forklift and other basic material handling experience </li></ul>

Qualifications:
 <ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent</li><li>3 or more years’ experience in a GMP Chemical Pharmaceutical pilot plant environment preferred. </li><li>5 or more years’ experience in a chemical manufacturing plant preferred.</li></ul>

The successful candidate in an Operator position will be trained in all facets of production (pre-mixing and material loading for batches, filling product into shipping containers, distribution, testing, sampling, and cleaning) to learn these essential duties of the position. The High Point NC plant is looking for top-caliber, technically capable Plant Operators who are action oriented, can make quality decisions quickly and possess excellent trouble shooting skills.

Qualifications: Depending on performance will be looking to convert to full time soon after reaching 721 hours. Operators will support manufacturing and distribution operations for our world-class coating solutions. The High Point NC plant is looking for top-caliber, technically capable Plant Operators who are action oriented, can make quality decisions quickly and possess excellent trouble shooting skills. The successful candidate in an Operator position will be trained in all facets of production (pre-mixing and material loading for batches, filling product into shipping containers, distribution, testing, sampling, and cleaning) to learn these essential duties of the position. The incumbent must operate production equipment safely to ensure the highest quality and correct quantity in accordance with the production schedule, standard operating procedures and supervisory instructions. Position duties and responsibilities can change regularly based on business needs. Operators will understand the mechanics of how to operate various types of equipment with confidence. Types of equipment include but are not limited to; labeler, filler machines, air pumps, high speed dispersers, air mixers, and weight scales within the department. Solve routine problems associated with job responsibilities. Ensures the highest product quality possible while adhering to all safety, environmental and work rules. Requirements We must have candidates with chemical mixing experience.  Warehouse experience alone will not be sufficient. Need to be candidates available for AM and PM shifts and available to work 2 weekends a month. High School Diploma/GED 5%2B years chemical plant/paint making experience preferred Able to demonstrate basic computer skills, math and problem-solving; mechanical, numerical and verbal aptitude to learn our jobs quickly Successfully complete a pre-employment interview process Successful completion of background check, physical and drug screening is required Must be able to read and follow, weight fractions of ounces, and measure accurately by gallons, pints and ounces (good math skills) Must be able to use various forms of PPE including respiratory protection Ability to use hand tools and lift up to 75 lbs. and work at heights at or above 30 feet Frequent lifting, walking, standing, pushing, and pulling Ability to work rotating shift schedule with assigned overtime or other assigned schedules Responsibilities: Performs all duties in a safe working manner, following all of  safety policies and procedures Blend batch to designated formula Learn how to fill-off batches and fill batches Record all adjustments made to batches Upon completion of batch make sure work area is cleaned up Follow batch fill-out instructions as they relate to filter/straining requirements, container requirements, agitation of material requirements and labeling requirements Select approved batches to be filled by ship date or supervisors' instructions Set up filtering equipment per batch ticket instructions and operate filling equipment Operate RC Gun Directly responsible for housekeeping and control of waste generation Operation of powered material handling equipment (PMHE) to move, store, load, and unload hazardous finished product(s) Unloading and loading of bulk tank wagon
