Takasago ranked 8th overall and 1st in Asia on the Global Top Food Flavors and Fragrances Companies. </div><div>Essential Job Functions:</div><ul><li>Dispenses and packages finished product and or intermediates approved by QC. </li><li>Involved in all areas of processing compounds:  mixing, heating, sampling, and chilling.  </li><li>Checks materials for color odor and other characteristics, following formula instructions for the compound.          </li><li>Operates forklifts and Hi-Lo’s in a safe manner. </li><li>Required to comprehend and apply automated material management practices with accuracy (e.g., SAP program)</li><li>Follows all applicable Production, QC/QA, EHS policies, procedures, GMP’s and maintains an orderly and clean work area.  </li><li>Ensure all processes and procedures related to inventory management are maintained and followed. Includes but not limited to inventory movements related to production regarding FIFO, quantities consumed, movement # and location.</li><li>Responsible for checking equipment and tools prior to usage.  </li><li>Responsible for reporting hazardous situations and EHS concerns, so that action can be taken.</li><li>Responsible to follow compliance and other obligations, while understanding the consequences of not following them.</li><li>Dispenses packages products include verifying container type on order, locating and verifying materials to match order and labels, generating product samples labels, inspecting exterior and interior of containers before filling and handling, subdividing repack.  </li></ul><div> Qualifications:  </div><ul><li>1-year previous fragrance compounding experience or 2 years as Material Handler in fragrance industry. </li><li>Must be able to read, write and speak English on a level needed to interact with other employees, as needed in the performance of work duties.</li><li>Knowledge of metric weight systems conversions and basic arithmetic skills required. </li><li>Forklift experience a plus.  </li><li>Basic understanding in the operation of equipment such as pumps, mixers, scales and homogenizers.  Spray dry experience a plus.  </li><li>Must be computer literate.</li><li>Use the SAP software.</li><li>Must be capable of physically standing, and capable of lifting/carrying on the average of 50 lbs. repetitively during an 8-hour work shift / consistently for a 40-hour work week. </li></ul><div>Physical Demands:   </div><ul><li>The employee is regularly required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear during an 8-hour work shift.</li><li>The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds of materials on a repetitive basis.     </li><li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee may handle hazardous chemicals, solvents or mixtures.  The employee will be required to wear all appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including, but not limited to, eye protection, gloves, uniforms and safety shoes. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. <ul><li>Weigh accurately all ingredients specified in a formulation, ensuring accuracy of code numbers, lot numbers, description of ingredient and weights.</li><li>Maintain accurate inventory control of all materials used, including lot numbers, warehouse locations and expiration dates when manufacturing, record keeping, changing drums and/or refilling transfer containers.</li><li>Manufacture products according to special instruction, when included, but not limited to mixing, heating, and filtering and step sequence, when applicable.</li><li>Operate powered industrial equipment—including forklifts, pallet jacks, reach walkie stackers, and other material‑handling equipment—in a safe and efficient manner</li><li>Follow approved manufacturing protocol, record keeping and methods of operation, including but not limited to, Standard Operating Procedures, site regulations, departmental rules, and required regulatory procedures.</li><li>Work with all fragrance materials safely including wet, dry, viscous, flammable, hot and hazardous substances.</li><li>Work within proper cGMP, safety, allergen, SSOP, SQF, Kosher, Halal, and ISO guidelines.</li><li>Required to attend annual refresher food safety training.</li><li>On site annual competency testing is required.</li><li>Responsible for maintaining the SQF, ISO 9001:2015 and EFfCI requirements.</li></ul>Salary Range: $21-$29.00 Per hour
