Support and participate alongside a dedicated crew in Low Level, TRU, and mixed waste management activities. Support readiness activities as the Central Waste Complex prepares to resume certification of TRU waste, involving waste container handling, and support to inspection, real-time radiography, nondestructive assay and flammable gas sampling and analysis.Compensation & BenefitsIn accordance with the CPCCo salary determination process, CPCCo takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities, and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. CPCCo will not solicit salary history for candidates.Expected annualized pay range based on full time schedule (40 hours per week):Starting hourly rate ranges from $33.129 to $55.215, depending on previous experience and education per the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Step increases occur every 6 months until pay reaches top of the scale.This position is also eligible for weekly certification pay following a progressive scale. Certification pay is based on length of service. The Chemical Operator is an integral part of our production team and will be responsible for the overall chemical production process. The ideal candidate will be attentive, knowledgeable, and have a desire to work with other production team members to develop the best processes and products. Qualifications<ul><li>High school diploma or GED equivalent.</li><li>Minimum 1+ years of experience working in chemical manufacturing or manufacturing/production.</li><li>Experience working with forklifts preferred.</li></ul>Knowledge<ul><li>Ability to demonstrate experience using Microsoft programs, maintenance management systems and email.</li><li>Aptitude for mechanics.</li><li>Willingness to comply with safety and quality regulations, including wearing protective gear when necessary.</li><li>Ability to lift 50lbs or more.</li></ul>Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Perform chemical manufacturing operations in safe and effective manner.</li><li>Recording information, such as ingredients, weights, and temperature, and inputting into database.</li><li>Monitor and control pressure and temperature of chemical process equipment.</li><li>Operate plant equipment as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)</li><li>Handle, transport and process chemicals safely.</li><li>Document plant processes and record production data.</li><li>Operation of tank truck and railcar vessel opening, loading and unloading of product, operation of pumps, piping and valves.</li><li>Troubleshooting issues with production equipment and processes.</li><li>Plant inventory record keeping.</li><li>Operation of the following mobile equipment: Backhoe, Trackmobile, Forklifts, and other mobile equipment.</li><li>Daily plant upkeep and daily maintenance.
