This role will support optical fitting, measurements, eyewear adjustments, repairs, and patient service operations within a federal healthcare environment.</p><h2>Shift Availability:</h2><p>Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM</p><p>Additional clinic coverage, extended hours, or occasional Saturday support may be required based on operational needs.</p><h2>Location:</h2><p>Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center (LAJVAMC)<br/>1 Medical Center Drive<br/>Clarksburg, WV 26301</p><h2>Pay Range:</h2><p>$30–38/hour depending on experience, certifications, and medical/VA experience</p><h1>Key Responsibilities (What you will do)</h1><ul><li>Measure, fit, adjust, and repair eyewear for Veteran patients</li><li>Assist patients with frame selection, fittings, and optical measurements including pupillary distance (PD)</li><li>Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with VA procedures</li><li>Provide excellent customer service and patient support in a clinical healthcare setting</li><li>Ensure compliance with HIPAA, patient confidentiality, and federal healthcare regulations</li><li>Work collaboratively with Eye Clinic staff, Prosthetics staff, and healthcare providers</li><li>Maintain organized and sanitary optical work areas</li><li>Follow all VA safety, infection prevention, and security procedures</li><li>Report equipment issues, patient concerns, or operational issues promptly</li><li>Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and attendance standards</li></ul><h1>Required Skills</h1><ul><li>Previous Optician experience required</li><li>ABO Certification required</li><li>State licensure required where applicable</li><li>Healthcare, medical office, hospital, or VA experience preferred</li><li>Strong understanding of eyewear fitting, adjustments, measurements, and repairs</li><li>Ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment</li><li>Strong communication and customer service skills</li><li>Must read, understand, speak, and write English fluently</li><li>High attention to detail and organizational skills</li><li>Must pass federal background screening, fingerprinting, and onboarding requirements before starting employment</li></ul><h1>Additional Information</h1><ul><li>Federal contractor position supporting the VA healthcare system</li><li>Candidates cannot begin work until onboarding and background adjudication are completed</li><li>Federal holidays observed by the VA</li><li>Overtime is not authorized without prior approval</li><li>Contractors are expected to maintain all certifications and compliance requirements throughout assignment</li><li>Professional conduct and reliability are essential in this patient-care environment</li><li>Salary is commensurate with experience</li></ul><p>Dynamic Integrated Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer which is committed to a diverse workforce and considers applicants for all positions without regard to race, color, creed, religion, ancestry, national origin, age, gender/sex, marital status, sexual orientation, physical or mental disability, military/veteran status, citizenship status, the basis of genetic information or any other group protected by Federal or State law or local ordinance.
