Within our AV Integration Division, we support AV projects by delivering seamless equipment and technology solutions that enhance client satisfaction and operational efficiency. _________________________________________________________________________ Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Accountant with knowledge in cost accounting to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of construction and renovation projects, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of costs, budgets, and forecasts. __________________________________________________________________________________________ Essential Duties and Responsibilities<ul><li style="margin-left:8px">Project Setup<ul style="list-style-type:circle"><li style="margin-left:8px">Oversee Construction Project Lifecycle</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Assist with Bid Process</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Ensure Contracts are abided by</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Change Order Management</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Preliminary Liens & Lien Releases</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Project Budgets</li></ul></li><li style="margin-left:8px">Accounts Receivable<ul style="list-style-type:circle"><li style="margin-left:8px">Ensure invoicing is conducted in a prompt and efficient manner</li><li style="margin-left:8px">AIA billings utilizing the G702 and G703 forms</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Collect and record customer payments</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Monitor open Invoices and enforce collections when needed</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Reconcile customer accounts at month and year end</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Respond to customer inquiries</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Provide WIP schedules monthly and for annual financial review/audit</li></ul></li><li style="margin-left:8px">Accounts Payable & Expenses<ul style="list-style-type:circle"><li style="margin-left:8px">Sub-contractor bids and contract management</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Track Insurance and Bond information</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Review and approve invoices, purchase orders, and change orders related to construction projects</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Ensure expenses are assigned to proper job for job costing</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of expenses</li></ul></li><li style="margin-left:8px">Payroll<ul style="list-style-type:circle"><li style="margin-left:8px">Ensure hours are properly assigned to projects for job costing</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Experience with Prevailing Wage a plus</li></ul></li><li style="margin-left:8px">Reporting & Analysis<ul style="list-style-type:circle"><li style="margin-left:8px">Collaborate with project managers and engineers on-site to track and report on project progress and financial performance</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Monitor project costs and expenses, ensuring that they align with budgets and forecasts</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Prepare and analyze financial reports related to construction projects, including budget variances, cost estimates, and forecasting</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Conduct regular audits and reviews of project financial data to identify and address any discrepancies or issues</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Provide financial analysis and advice to project teams to help optimize project performance and profitability</li></ul></li><li style="margin-bottom:11px;margin-left:8px">Other duties as assigned</li></ul>__________________________________________________________________________________________ Qualification Standards<ul><li style="margin-left:8px">2+ years of construction field accounting experience or training preferred.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Bachelor’s degree preferred.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Strong organization and attention to detail required.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Strong time management and self-prioritization skills required.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Verbal and written communication skills.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Takes personal ownership over tasks and asks for help when needed, communicates effectively with others.</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px;margin-left:8px">Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and Intuit QuickBooks a must</li></ul>__________________________________________________________________________________________ Compensation and Benefits $31.00 to $34.00 per hour Health, Dental, Vision Benefits 401K Contribution and Match Paid Time Off  Powered by JazzHR
