This individual will perform tasks involving commercial construction projects. May operate a variety of hand and power tools. May clean and prepare sites, perform manual labor such as the use of hand shovels, rakes, etc. , work in and around excavations, clean up rubble and debris and remove waste materials. May assist other craft workers. Essential Functions: (Essential functions, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following tasks, knowledge, skills and other characteristics. This list of tasks is illustrative ONLY, and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by positions in this class. It does not imply that all positions within the class perform all of the duties listed, nor does it necessarily list all possible duties that may be assigned.) <ul><li>Perform a variety of tasks involving manual labor at various construction sites.</li><li>Assist in moving, placing, striping various concrete formwork.</li><li>Assist with installation of concrete reinforcement and with concrete placement.</li><li>Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards.</li><li>Material handling and storage.</li><li>Operate powered construction equipment. (depending on skill level & knowledge)</li><li>Safely work around large heavy equipment</li><li>Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.
