The position will support the client's Resident Officer in Charge of Construction (ROICC), or designee, for construction services such as construction inspection, quality assurance, monitoring safety and environmental compliance and contract administration.<br/> Major Responsibilities <ul><li>Coordinate Requests from Construction Contractor. Coordinate request from the construction Contractor for outage requests, excavation permits, burn permits, haul routes and other similar items. <ul><li>Risk Management<ul><li>Managing the overall process with general contractor's/subcontractor's/vendor's certificates of insurance, including requesting, reviewing, and approving insurance certificates, and ensuring the inclusion of endorsements that comply with company contract requirements.</li><li>Communicating directly with insurance agents/general contractor's/subcontractor's regarding non-compliant issues and respond to internal and external questions concerning compliance and related issues.</li><li>Advising project team about the necessary coverages based on the subcontractor's/vendor's scope of work.</li><li>Requesting insurance certificate renewals.</li><li>Requesting surety bonds from agent and delivering upon receipt to Jen O'Neill (legal department).</li><li>Assisting Risk Manager with enrollment into Controlled Insurance Programs.</li><li>Managing the assignment of contracts from affiliated companies to the Company.</li><li>Assisting Risk Manager with special project, such as applications for renewal policies, etc.</li><li>Prepare and present the risk management section of new hire orientations and Lunch & Learn trainings on Insurance, Bonds and programs with Business Unit Managers, Project Managers and Project Administrators.</li></ul></li><li>Preconstruction<ul><li>Manages the overall qualification process with General from RFQ through a timely and compliant submission of qualification materials.</li><li>Resolves issues of non-compliant submissions.</li><li>Maintains repository of all submitted prequalification materials.</li><li>Updates and maintains marketing materials for qualification purposes, such as "Major Projects completed" and "Major Projects in Progress" listing and spotlights, on a quarterly basis.</li><li>Updates safety and financial materials, used for qualification purposes, on a quarterly basis.</li><li>Requalifies as necessary.</li><li>Maintains "current" references for each Business unit on a quarterly basis.</li><li>Creates, revises and tailors marketing resumes of key staff members for including in prequalification packets.</li><li>Builds and maintains relationships with General Contractors to support the qualification program.</li><li>Uses latest software to complete the qualification process as required.</li><li>Monitors subcontractor prequalification expirations and renewals.</li></ul></li><li>Health, Safety & Environmental<ul><li>Revising HSE Policies and the overall Program.</li><li>Lend support in compiling all acquired companies under one Safety Program.</li></ul></li><li>Committees<ul><li>Serves on various corporate committees.</li><li>Disaster Recover Committee</li><li>Compliance Committee</li><li>DBE Committee</li><li>Handbook Review Committee</li></ul></li></ul>

Qualifications:
<h4>Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications</h4><ul><li>Bachelors or greater level degree in Business Administration or Management. </li><li>3-5 years' experience</li><li>Effective verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors.</li><li>Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.</li></ul><h4>Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications</h4><ul><li>Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist</li><li>Certified Risk Management Professional</li><li>Lean Six Sigma</li><li>Project Management Professional</li><li>PMI Risk Management Professional</li></ul><h4>Travel Requirements</h4><ul><li>0-5% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location. </li></ul><h4>Physical/Work Environment Requirements</h4><ul><li>Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.</li><li>Climbing stairs.</li><li>Remaining in a stationary position, often kneeling, standing or sitting for prolonged periods.</li><li>Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. </li><li>Quiet environment.</li><li>Light work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 20 pounds.</li></ul>

Pay Range:
USD $50,500.00 - USD $67,470.00 /Yr.
