The ideal Independent Contractor will have experience as a diesel technician or in automotive repair industry and a knowledge of trucks, trailers, and equipment maintenance.  Other common background includes auto inspectors, home inspectors, and insurance adjusters. Required:<ul><li>Must reside in Tennessee</li><li>1099 Independent Contractor status </li><li>Flexible Schedule (daylight hours, Monday - Friday)</li><li>Comfortable working outdoors </li><li>Access to a newer smartphone or tablet with sufficient data plan</li><li>Access to a laptop/desktop computer </li><li>Heavy Duty Truck Diagnostic Tool (must read fault codes, capture aftertreatment (DPF/DEF) status, and provide printable or exportable report)</li><li>Reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license</li><li>Strong oral and written communication skills</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft and other web based software</li><li>Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time</li></ul>Perks include:<ul><li>Extra income with flexible, ad-hoc work</li><li>Be your own boss and set your own hours</li><li>Flexible work environment</li><li>Ability to work with minimal guidance and supervision</li></ul>Compensation:$15,000 - $75,000 per year (part-time to high-volume)Paid per inspection with mileage reimbursement.  Location:Tennessee – remote, on-site inspections
