As a Business and Communications Specialist, you will drive leadership team priorities via meetings, follow-ups, and cross-team coordination; develop internal and external communications (emails, social, updates); advances deliverables independently by turning rough inputs into polished outputs; and track progress, risks, and budget. This us a high-visibility role working directly with senior Azure marketing leaders. There will be broad exposure across Databases and Azure Databricks where you will have the opportunity to shape major launches (e.g., Azure Accelerate) and influence both strategy and execution. Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Management & Leadership Support<ul><li>Serve as a trusted partner to marketing leadership, supporting planning, prioritization, and execution across key initiatives.</li><li>Drive Rhythm of Business (RoB), including leadership team meetings, agendas, follow-ups, and action tracking.</li><li>Partner across Product Marketing, Engineering, Finance, and Field to ensure alignment and forward momentum.</li><li>Step in to advance work independently (e.g., synthesize rough inputs, create first drafts, unblock teams, and drive next steps).</li><li>Identify gaps, risks, and dependencies, and proactively bring solutions.</li></ul> Context: Business management roles act as trusted advisors driving strategy, operations, and execution alignment across the organization. Internal & External Communications<ul><li>Lead and execute internal communications strategy:</li><li>Drive awareness and adoption of key initiatives (e.g., Azure Accelerate for Databases).</li><li>Create and manage internal narratives across channels (emails, updates, leadership comms, field alerts).</li><li>Support external-facing communications:</li><li>Draft social posts, blogs, and executive-ready messaging.</li><li>Ensure alignment with approved messaging frameworks and tone.</li><li>Build and maintain an editorial cadence aligned with business priorities.</li></ul> Context: Executive comms roles include internal storytelling, external messaging (social, PR), and editorial calendar management across channels.
