What were looking for:<ul><li>Command Construction Industries is currently searching for a Civil Construction Estimator to join our professional Project Management Team during a time of rapid growth.</li><li>The ideal candidate should have a solid background history of project estimation, preferably in Heavy Highway construction.</li></ul>Duties, Responsibilities, and Expectations<ul><li>Bachelors degree in engineering or construction management required</li><li>10 years experience doing estimation work.</li><li>Execute take-offs of construction documents.</li><li>Reviews construction documents and understands scope of work to bid using state and federal specifications.</li><li>Obtain quotes from subcontractors and vendors for materials and labor as needed. / Prepare estimates by recapitulating material, labor, equipment, subcontractor, and overhead costs incurred during the life cycle of a project.</li><li>Develops and maintains company resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, government requirements, etc.</li><li>Attend departmental meetings as required.</li><li>Help review bidding decisions for upcoming projects.</li><li>Communicate plans and contract terms to relevant parties.</li><li>Work with project management team to manage financial aspects of projects</li></ul>Skills:<ul><li>HCSS</li><li>AutoCAD</li><li>P6 (Primavera)</li><li>Estimating and Scheduling Software</li><li>Good written, Verbal communication skills</li><li>Ability to work in a collaborative team</li><li>Working knowledge of multiphases of civil construction</li><li>Good relationships with suppliers and subcontractors in the area</li><li>Field experience</li><li>Strong contracts & plan reading skills.</li></ul>Who we are: Command Construction Industries is a Louisiana heavy/highway contractor specializing in concrete paving, site-work, concrete barrier installation and sewer, water, and drainage projects.
