Construction Project Manager

Project Manager  Construction, Manufacturing & Distribution  Role Summary The GCG Project Manager (PM) is responsible for using their robust background in construction, manufacturing, and distribution to drive projects to completion by working closely with the project General Contractor and assigned, authorized vendors, ensuring all project tasks and milestones are effectively completed. The PM will maintain flexibility to operate on-site or in a remote capacity, always maintaining close contact and effective collaboration with the customer.  As a GCG team member, the Project Manager is responsible for modeling company values and promoting the company culture, and ensuring an effective succession plan is in place.  Key Result Areas <ul><li>Working with the project General Contractor ensures all project milestones and tasks are completed on time, driving the overall project to completion within the defined time frame, cost, and quality parameters.   </li></ul><ul><li>Plan, coordinate, and manage projects across construction, manufacturing, and distribution sectors, aligning with company and client objectives. </li></ul><ul><li>Manage, directly or through the project vendors, all phases of project development, including adherence to scheduling and project task-list completion.  </li></ul><ul><li>On a project-by-project basis, may be responsible for budgeting, resource allocation, and permitting, across multiple disciplines. </li></ul><ul><li>Collaborate with architects, engineers, production managers, subcontractors, and supply chain partners to ensure seamless project execution. </li></ul><ul><li>Monitor project progress, proactively identify potential issues, and implement effective solutions to maintain project timelines. </li></ul><ul><li>Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and quality control measures in construction, manufacturing, and distribution activities. </li></ul><ul><li>Prepare and present comprehensive project updates, reports, and performance metrics to senior management and stakeholders. </li></ul><ul><li>Facilitate clear communication and collaboration among diverse project teams to foster a cooperative work environment. </li></ul><ul><li>Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers. </li></ul>Qualifications: <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is advantageous. </li></ul><ul><li>Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management within construction, manufacturing, and distribution, with a proven track record of successful projects. </li></ul><ul><li>Extensive knowledge of construction processes, manufacturing systems, distribution logistics, and relevant legal regulations. </li></ul><ul><li>Strong organizational and team management skills, along with a high drive to complete projects on time and within budget,  across multiple sectors. </li></ul><ul><li>Excellent problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail. </li></ul><ul><li>Proficiency in project management software and industry-specific tools. </li></ul><ul><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage diverse teams and stakeholders. </li></ul><ul><li>PMP or equivalent certification preferred. </li></ul>This job description is a general guideline and may be subject to change based on the specific needs of the organization.  Growth Catalyst Group (GCG) of Companies   Growth Catalyst Group of Companies (GCG) is the parent entity to three operating companies that share a common vision and mission, leadership, and even customers. TekCom Resources is seeking a field-based Construction Coordinator for a direct hire role with a fast-growing telecom construction firm in the Findlay, OH market! 
In this role, you will be responsible for oversight of several OSP construction projects;this will include crew oversight, QC on work performed, pre-project prep work and some post-project wrap-up work. Visiting field sites to observe work being performed is an essential element of this role. Work is being performed in and around the area, and your work will not take you more than 1-2 hours outside of town. While not required, experience with fiber splicing is HIGHLY valuable for this role! Work will be supporting a major, nationally-active broadband service provider. Additional Responsibilities:<ul><li>Perform quality control on work being performed and ensure crew compliance with company standards.</li><li>Work with other members of the team on ensuring adherence to progress schedule, occasionally passing information along to management or clients.</li><li>Tracking a range of administrative concerns and functions: contractor invoicing, equipment and supplies availability, progress documentation, etc.</li><li>Make sure crews are following internal and external safety protocols while performing construction work.</li><li>Communicate with other team members and departments in seeing projects through to completion.</li></ul>What our client would love to see from candidates:<ul><li>1-3 years of experience in fiber construction and previous experience performing fiber splicing. At least 6 months of specific OSP construction experience is necessary!</li><li>Experience assisting with or managing project tracking, financials, both internal and contracted crews, and other functions.</li><li>Experience and comfort communicating with clients and management regarding progress milestones.</li><li>A willingness to visit sites in and around market five days per week - this will not be a remote role.</li></ul>Key Skills
