Duties include maintaining safety programs that protect our employees and promote a culture of safety throughout the organization. The Safety Coordinator is responsible for identifying risks and recommending improvements, making a tangible impact on our workplace safety standards.</div><div></div><div><b>Responsibilities And Duties</b></div><ul><li>Participate in all jobsite progress meetings.</li><li>Implement and monitor safety policies and procedures regionally in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.</li><li>Conduct weekly safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.</li><li>Conduct new employee safety training.</li><li>Oversee and keep records of safety training programs and workshops to educate employees on safety practices and emergency procedures.</li><li>Conduct near-miss and accidents/incidents investigations to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.</li><li>Maintain and update safety records, reports, and documentation as required by regulatory agencies.</li><li>Collaborate with management and staff to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.</li><li>Ensure all safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) is available, properly maintained, and used correctly.</li><li>Serve as the regional point of contact for all safety-related matters and liaise with external safety consultants and agencies.</li><li>Monitor and track safety performance metrics and report findings to management.</li><li>Stay informed about and participate in training regarding industry best practices and changes in safety regulations and standards.</li></ul><div><b>Skills and Abilities</b></div><ul><li>Familiarity with construction principles and culture</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>Ability to conduct training sessions and safety meetings</li><li>Strong organizational skills with attention to detail</li><li>Fluency in computer programs including but not limited to the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)</li><li>Ability to implement safety policies and procedures</li><li>Experience with incident investigation and reporting</li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure</li><li>Willingness for flexibility to travel to various job sites as needed</li><li>First Aid training and/or certification</li><li>Fluency in Spanish highly preferred</li></ul><div><b>Required Experience and Education</b></div><ul><li>Associate's degree in related field preferred but not required</li><li>Five or more years of experience in the construction and/or manufacturing industry</li><li>Some experience with OSHA and other relevant safety regulations</li><li>Experience with heavy equipment, HAZMAT, cranes and crane lift plans</li><li>Understanding of risk assessment procedures and hazard identification</li><li>A valid driver's license</li></ul><div><b>Physical Requirements</b></div><ul><li>Must be able to work in an indoor office environment and an active outdoor construction site environment.</li><li>Must be able to ascend and descend ladders and stairs and work in confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment.</li><li>Must be able to traverse irregular and steep terrain.</li><li>Must be able to work in various weather conditions and be exposed to dirt or dust.</li><li>Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment most of the day.</li><li>Must be able to lift and carry 25lbs regularly and 50lbs occasionally.</li><li>Must be able to work for long periods of time in front of a computer.</li></ul><br/><br/><p>PI8f062e2f21d2-25401-37276209</p>
