Job Description The purpose of the Electrical & Instrumentation Construction Engineer is to oversee and direct the performance of the electrical craft for all field construction activities in accordance with the project overall construction implementation plan, schedule and conformity with the project specifications. To accomplish this task, the superintendent is required to have a working knowledge of and capability with the following: + Electrical and Instrumentation installation codes and standards + NEC Codes applicable to Industrial Facilities + Industrial Project installation standards and details + Coordinate and Direct Union Craft personnel (General Foreman, Foreman) to meet or exceed all project completion objectives by providing clear goals and expectations to these craft personnel in their assigned scope. + Ability to learn and apply knowledge of all applicable local, state and federal/national statutes and guidelines. + Ability to communicate effectively with professional audiences to include management, co-workers, clients, vendors contractors and other stakeholders. The Electrical & Instrumentation Construction Engineer is required to be able to analyze construction issues and provide a solution to the craft lead personnel and foremen by: + Resolving complex E&I technical issues by interfacing with the discipline lead construction engineer. + Identify inconsistencies between the project specifications, applicable codes and standards is reference to the actual equipment installation, wiring terminations, wire routing, tubing routing, cable glands and E&I consumables. + Sequencing work activities in conjunction with the project schedule. + Coordinate project E&I work activities with outside contractors/subcontractors. + Plan and acquire the required materials, construction equipment, engineering deliverables to intersect with assigned Installation Work Packages (IWP). + Direct IWP activities to align with the project schedule. + Incorporate work completion steps with the requirements of the project Inspection & Test Plan (ITP). + Ability to interface with construction management by providing construction installation updates and support in reference to actual construction completion percentages, material shortages and non-compliance issues. + Ensure that ALL required permits and Safety documentation is in compliance with the planned work activity. + Coordinate and implement indirect activities, internal and external, required to support a productive construction execution plan to include functional staff support, support of craft activities and any other resource necessary to assure a safe and quality construction execution. + Adhere to and support BNH/Fluor’s Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies. + Adhere to and support BNH/Fluor’s Sustainability Policies. The ideal individual will have a proven track record of successfully delivering construction project control services.  Responsibilities:  Develop, monitor and update owners Project Integrated Master Schedule (IMS). Establish the schedule management program and deliverables to be used on large scale capital programs. Interface with project stakeholders as trusted advisors to provide guidance and recommendations for the project. Prepare baseline schedules and schedule basis documents for approval by project teams. Conduct schedule of resource loading and leveling. Consolidate contractors schedule to incorporate into IMS. Assess impacts on the critical path and near-critical activities and report to the project team. Monitor schedule deviations and variances and assist in the development of alternative methods for corrective action. Apply EVM methodology to measure project progress. Review schedules with project team members on a regular basis to ensure that accurate and timely data is incorporated into the schedule. Prepare and provide schedule progress reports, trending charts, and schedule analysis on a periodic basis. Maintain record of scope changes, trends and variances that potentially affect schedule performance. Assure the credibility of the information contained in the schedule. Maintain liaison with clients and other consultants at all projects stages. SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable. Bachelor's degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or field related to construction. Minimum 5-7 years of applicable experience. Direct experience working on teams within a complex matrix environment. Expertise using Primavera P6. Excellent communication skills.  On-site presence and requirements may change depending on our clients needs.Our inspired people share our vision and mission.
