We invite an inpatient, academic-focused Neurologist who possesses an authentic compassion for teaching and leading academic work at a newly formed neurology residency program at <b>Atrium Health Neurology in Charlotte, NC.</b></p><p>The Neurology Department at Atrium Health is a network of 90+ neurology providers that supports 15 care locations, 2 regional-based stroke interventional hubs across the greater Charlotte region. Atrium Health boasts a Comprehensive Stroke Center, along with a large and growing network that supports opportunities for research. The growing academic department with new medical school and residency programs as part of the Wake Forest School of Medicine brings exciting opportunities for innovative patient care, teaching, and research.</p><p>The position includes the opportunity to join our group of 8 neurohospitalist providers, 7 advanced practice providers, and our interdisciplinary care team for the stroke network.</p><p><b>About the Opportunity:</b></p><ul><li>Board eligible or Board certification in Neurology required.</li><li>Vascular fellowship training (preferred).</li><li>7 on / 7 off schedule, 12-hour day shifts with nighttime at-home call with in-house Advanced Practice Provider (APP) coverage.</li><li>Opportunity to participate in virtual neurology and stroke services.</li><li>Opportunity to participate in national clinical research trials and investigator-initiated studies based on a wealth of data from the stroke network. We invite Ob/Gyn Physicians to discover all that we can do when we bring healing hearts, inquisitive minds and progressive visionaries together in our Women's Service Line at<strong>Carolinas Medical Center</strong>.</p><p>We are searching for 4 Ob/Gyn Hospitalists to complement our current cohort and help provide <strong>24/7 double in-house attending physician coverage.</strong>Our current team is comprised of 7 Academic Generalists and 3 Academic Hospitalists who educate, supervise, and provide patient care alongside resident physicians. Current or recent academic experience is strongly preferred. Duties and responsibilities include:</p><ul><li><strong>Inpatient Obstetrics</strong>: We supervise residents and medical students on Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and Triage units. We also supervise APPs who provide care in our OB Triage unit as well as CNMs on Labor and Delivery. We perform approximately 3500 deliveries per year and manage both high-risk and low-risk patients. Our Maternal Fetal Medicine faculty are available 24/7 and manage the Antepartum Unit.</li><li><strong>Inpatient Gynecology</strong>: Overnight and on weekends, the in-house attendings supervise residents in the care of our inpatient gynecology service and consultation service, including performing urgent/emergent gynecologic surgeries such as laparoscopy for ectopic pregnancy and ovarian torsion, or dilation and curettage for early pregnancy loss.
