Overview:
This position is an RFP position and is contingent upon contract award.  <a href="https://www.gboss.us/" rel="noopener nofollow noreferrer" target="_blank">Goldbelt Operations Support Services, LLC (GbOSS)</a> offers expert construction, renovation, and support services. GbOSS has expertise in construction, renovation, and support services, from design-build to finish work. GbOSS utilizes a skillset as general contractors to assist federal clients and is 8(a) certified. Summary:GbOSS is in search of a Construction Inspector (CI). The Construction Inspector (CI) provides on-site oversight, inspection, and quality assurance for construction, renovation, and repair activities supporting the U.S. Coast Guard Risk Management Framework (RMF). This role ensures all work complies with contract requirements, applicable building codes, safety standards, and Coast Guard specifications. The Construction Inspector documents progress, identifies deficiencies, and serves as a technical liaison between project stakeholders, contractors, and personnel.

Responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions:<ul><li>Perform a variety of Inspection duties that broadly defined will include monitoring the effectiveness of construction contractor quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) programs, or inspection of USCG facilities for facility maintenance issues</li><li>Ensure construction is in accordance with plans and specifications</li><li>Make on-site inspections of construction project(s) and provide written reports</li><li>Perform reviews including, but not limited to, equipment and material submittals, progress charts, quality control (QC) and Safety Plans, and various work plans</li><li>Photograph the construction progress and logically file the records and transmit as required</li><li>Monitor the Contractor’s Quality Control Program for compliance with appropriate</li><li>Research and identify design and/or construction problems and provide recommendations to the USCG Construction Project Manager/Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR)/Contracting Officer (KO)</li><li>Witness acceptance testing, commissioning, and participate in inspections</li><li>Perform inspection of construction and USCG facilities</li><li>Meet with the USCG to keep them informed of changes to work or schedule constraints</li><li>Review daily Contractor’s Reports and prepare Reports</li><li>Monitor job-site safety and compliance</li><li>Monitor and maintain a complete, updated file of approved submittals for the construction contract. Qualifications:
