GW HealthDesk began as a partnership with the Pennsylvania Avenue Baptist Church (PABC) to host mobile health education desk that held pop-up events throughout the D.C. area, specifically Wards 5, 7, and 8 of Washington D.C. With help from our community and GWU volunteers, HealthDesk has registered over 500 residents and assisted them in optimizing their phones and navigating digital health tools for chronic disease management. The coach will participate in digital health coaching, training, mentoring, supervising, organizing event tasks, participate in weekly meetings with HD team, student coaches and sponsors, and deliver in-person or telehealth coaching to community members and participants.
