This role will focus on building and maintaining an Angular Front End, Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) services, RESTful APIs, and cloud-native applications on AWS, while integrating with MS SQL Server data stores. This is a high-impact role supporting the continued evolution of our core platform. Please note, this is a 1099 contract role (independent contractor), not a full-time employee position. See the additional details below.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using .NET (C# / .NET Core 8+)</li><li>Build and implement BFF layer to optimize client-server communication for Angular applications</li><li>Develop and maintain RESTful APIs</li><li>Develop responsive UI components using Angular (v16+)</li><li>Deploy and manage applications in AWS environments (API Gateway, Lambda, Cognito)</li><li>Design and optimize SQL Server databases and queries</li><li>Implement secure coding practices including OAuth2, JWT, and encryption</li><li>Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing</li><li>Participate in architecture decisions</li></ul>Required Qualifications<ul><li>Fast learner with ability to get up to speed quickly and efficiently</li><li>Ability to thrive in a highly productive environment</li><li>Strong collaborative skills with willingness to take ownership and responsibility</li><li>8+ years of professional software development experience</li><li>Strong expertise in C#, .NET Core 8+</li><li>Strong experience with Angular (v16+)</li><li>Strong experience in MS SQL Server</li><li>Experience with REST APIs</li><li>Hands-on experience with AWS</li><li>Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines</li><li>Experience with Agile development methodologies</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Experience with high-volume transactional systems</li><li>Experience with Docker</li><li>Experience with BFF</li><li>Knowledge of domain-driven design and clean architecture</li><li>Experience with observability tools and regulated environments</li><li>Experience with Kendo UI</li></ul>Technical Skills Summary<ul><li>Backend: C#, .NET Core, REST APIs</li><li>Frontend: Angular, TypeScript, RxJS, Signals, NgRx</li><li>Cloud: AWS (API Gateway, Lambda, Cognito, S3)</li><li>Database: MS SQL Server</li><li>DevOps: Docker, Azure Devops, CI/CD, Git</li></ul>Key Competencies<ul><li>Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking</li><li>Ability to design systems for scalability and performance</li><li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills</li><li>Ownership mindset with attention to detail</li><li>Ability to lead technical initiatives</li></ul>Compensation<ul><li>$70–$90 per hour (1099), depending on experience and scope</li><li>Final rate will be determined based on qualifications and engagement structure</li></ul>What Success Looks Like<ul><li>Delivery of scalable, high-performance applications</li><li>Clean, maintainable code aligned with architecture standards</li><li>Improved API performance and frontend responsiveness</li><li>Strong collaboration across teams</li></ul>Additional Details<ul><li>This is a 1099 independent contractor role (not benefits-eligible employment)</li><li>Engagement is expected to last 6 to 12 months</li><li>Contractors operate as independent service providers and are expected to provide their own equipment</li></ul>
