**Job Description**
 
**AECOM** is seeking a candidate for the position of **Civil Engineering Technician III** in the Transportation Department in **Stevens Point, Middleton, and Milwaukee, WI** . Work will consist of construction inspection, materials testing, survey and administration of WisDOT and local projects.
 
The successful candidate will be responsible for communicating directly with contractors, team members, and the AECOM project leader.
 
Successful candidate will be based out of their home office and may need to travel during the day or overnight for projects in their Region. They will need to work independently and with other team members to complete quality WisDOT and local construction projects on time and within budgets.
 
* Monitors and documents conformance with quality, performance, safety and code requirements.
 
* Activities may include assisting with engineering calculations, setting up and operating equipment, inspecting equipment and engineering installations for compliance with specifications and maintaining project documentation.
 
* General understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines.
 
**Qualifications**
 
**Minimum Requirements:**
 
High School Diploma + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
 
**Preferred Skills/Experience:**
 
The following skill sets are desirable but not required:
 
GPS and Survey equipment knowledge.
 
Familiarity with Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
 
Familiarity with municipal, county, and non-WisDOT construction projects.
 
Familiarity with WisDOT Standard Specifications and material certification requirements.
 
WisDOT material certifications including AGGTECH, PCCTECH, Nuclear Density, TMS.
 
A motor vehicle check is required.

Relocation is not available for this role.

<h1>Manager of Data and ML Infrastructure Duties:</h1>The Manager of Data and ML Infrastructure is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and secure data and machine learning/AI infrastructure to support the company’s data science and analytics teams. This role will oversee data pipelines, model deployment frameworks, and infrastructure optimization while leading and mentoring a team of Data Analytics Engineers and Machine Learning/AI Engineers to drive innovation and operational efficiency within the organization and align strategic goals to ensure the successful execution of projects. 

Pay Range:
USD $130,000.00 - USD $140,000.00 /Yr.

Responsibilities:
 Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.<ul><li>Develop infrastructure such as microservices to streamline and support the deployment and operationalization of machine learning/AI models.</li><li>Manage team to facilitate department objectives including mentoring, developing, and coaching.</li><li>Design and maintain data pipelines, data lakes, and ML/AI model deployment frameworks.</li><li>Lead the development of scalable and secure cloud-based infrastructure.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand infrastructure needs and deliver solutions.</li><li>Automate data ingestion, transformation, and ML/AI workflow processes to improve efficiency.</li><li>Ensure compliance with data governance policies and regulatory standards.</li><li>Monitor and optimize infrastructure performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.</li><li>Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend and implement innovations.</li></ul><ul><li>Other duties as assigned by management.</li></ul>Must be able to come to work promptly and regularly. Qualifications:
<h1>Minimum Qualifications:</h1><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field</li><li>5 years’ experience in data engineering, ML infrastructure, or similar roles.</li><li>Minimum 2 years of experience managing or leading technical teams preferred.</li><li>Master’s degree preferred.</li><li>Relevant certifications in cloud platforms (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, GCP Data Engineer, etc.) are preferred but not required.</li></ul>
