Responsible for performing the clerical and administrative functions for any or all hub and station operational areas, including linehaul, quality assurance and customer service. Tends to damaged and incorrectly addressed packages in a timely manner to optimize delivery time. Serves as a customer's first line of contact for a variety of issues.<br/><br/>Essential Functions<br/><br/>Provides clerical support to various management and operational functions, including, but not limited to, photocopying, filing, faxing, emailing and answering telephone<br/>Reviews, researches and/or enters data in various systems to support respective functional area<br/>Compiles data and provides various regular and adhoc reports to management for review and determination<br/>Serves as frontline customer service to receive, solve and/or escalate customer inquiries and issues<br/>Assists management with Business Control Self Assessment (BCSA) audit activity by retrieving data and/or files for review<br/>In addition to the above essential functions, the following functional area assignments have additional essential functions as noted below:<br/>Additional Quality Assurance/Loss Prevention essential functions:<br/>Supports ability for timely delivery and mitigates loss and damage by performing address searches/corrections through various sources and ensuring packages are in good condition for the customer<br/>Prioritizes workflow to maximize the number of packages that can be resolved and sent out for delivery in the same day<br/>Ensures all packages receive appropriate scan statuses. Inspects and handles hazardous material damages as per policy. Ensures all loose product is accounted for as per company policy<br/>Researches missing packages to understand the root cause of scanning failures and compiles information on disputed deliveries for management review<br/>Reviews and trends loss and damaged claims filed to identify improperly charged claims and brings to the attention of management<br/>Additional Linehaul essential functions:<br/>Reviews and enters all Independent Contractor (IC) settlement information into appropriate system to ensure proper payments. Enters settlement adjustments as directed by manager<br/>Compiles required documentation to establish and maintain Department of Transportation (DOT)-required files. Verifies timely log entry into system<br/>Enters all individual vehicle mileage record information into the system and works with ICs and Linehaul staff to rectify any issues<br/>Tracks a variety of metrics, including the IC charge back program, complaints and maintenance compliance and prepares weekly reports for management review<br/>Serves as initial contact to receive IC inquiries or issues relating to settlement, uniforms, decals, etc., to route to management for appropriate resolution<br/>Performs other duties as assigned.<br/><br/>Minimum Education <br/><br/>High School Diploma or GED required<br/><br/>Minimum Experience <br/><br/>Four (4) years customer service, clerical or related experience required; experience in dock operations environment or distribution center setting preferred<br/><br/>Knowledge Skills and Abilities<br/><br/>General business skills such as typing; data entry and review; and use of phone, copier, and fax<br/>Software skills, including use of Microsoft Office software and web-based applications<br/>Customer service skills necessary to effectively and professionally respond to requests<br/>Time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills necessary to work in a fast-paced environment, handling various tasks and changing priorities, while maintaining a high attention to detail and accuracy to achieve daily assignments and goals<br/><br/>Job Conditions <br/><br/>Minimal travel required.<br/><br/>Preferred Qualifications: <br/><br/>Pay Transparency: <br/><br/>Pay: $18.19 - $27.34/hr<br/><br/>Additional Details: Part time 25<br/><br/>Pay Transparency:<br/><br/>The compensation listed reflects the pay range or rate of pay reasonably expected for this posted position at the posted location or locations. Your market may include multiple store locations, each with a set visit schedule. The CPA is responsible for both inspecting the work of Ziply Fiber OSP contractors and guiding the work efforts of contract inspectors in the CPA’s region to ensure all OSP work meets cost, timeline, and quality expectations for customers.<br/></p><p style="margin-top:0px"><b>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</b><br/></p><p style="margin-top:0px">The Essential Duties and Responsibilities listed below are a range of duties performed by the employee and not intended to reflect all duties performed.<br/></p><ul><li>Perform aerial and underground inspections along with audits of contractors performing inspections, corrections, and foreign pole transfers in accordance with the NESC and Ziply standards.<br/></li><li>Assign and dispatch work to contract inspectors via email or through online database applications, with the ability to assist the contract inspectors in resolving NESC or FPT complex issues.<br/></li><li>Involved in the development, trials, and implementation of new processes, process documentation, web applications, and field software involving NESC inspections and corrections, and pole transfer work.<br/></li><li>Perform training of contract personnel in the accepted aerial plant inspection and correction methods used by Ziply, as well as the associated field software applications.<br/></li><li>Issue/dispute resolution: partner with vendor team to resolve issues that arise during the construction process. Bore-throughs, tree trimming, and other complaints with citizens impacted by the fiber deployment.<br/></li><li>Serve as a Municipality liaison, working with various municipalities regarding permitting, traffic control, and other concerns regarding the overall impact of OSP work within the community.<br/></li><li>Perform invoice processing, work within project workflow databases to review and process vendor invoicing adhering to Ziply accounting guidelines<br/></li><li>Act as the first-level field approval for necessary changes found infield. Partner with Engineering and vendor team regarding potential solutions.<br/></li><li>Support Ziply Fiber values, works with team members across several disciplines including Business and Consumer, Network Services, various customer groups, including home builders, general contractors, and sub-contractors.<br/></li><li>Perform other duties as required.<br/></li></ul><p style="margin-top:0px"><b>Qualifications</b><br/></p><ul><li>5+ years’ experience in OSP construction and or OSP engineering<br/></li><li>College degree preferred, but not required.<br/></li><li>Familiarity with Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint; and proficient/comfortable with Microsoft Excel to include the development of forms, the use of internal and external hyperlinks, as well as simple functions and their structure (i.e. COUNT, COUNTIF, SUBTOTAL, SUM, etc.).<br/></li><li>Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.<br/></li></ul><p style="margin-top:0px"><b>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</b><br/></p><ul><li>Knowledge of the NESC, OSP construction techniques, telecom industry OSP best practices, and overall maintenance of a safe job site is a must; with the ability to determine cost effective solutions to bring into compliance complex aerial cable problems.<br/></li><li>Ability to work with other team members to assure timely completion, quality work and safe working practices throughout the labor and billing cycle.<br/></li><li>Ability to learn the current Ziply construction unit coding is required in the contract inspection position.<br/></li><li>Ability and desire to continuously learn new systems and applications.<br/></li><li>Intermediate understanding of the as-built process for closing out OSP construction projects.<br/></li><li>Basic understanding of the NJUNS database and familiarity of joint use processes.<br/></li><li>Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.<br/></li><li>Possess strong leadership and decision-making skills.<br/></li><li>Ability to influence others to meet project objectives.<br/></li><li>Ability to work independently and apply sound judgment and reasoning skills to a variety of situations.<br/></li><li>Ability to multi-task and collaborate effectively with other personnel to meet deadlines.<br/></li><li>Strong verbal and written communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills.<br/></li><li>Ability to work within critical deadlines.<br/></li><li>Ability to adjust to rapidly changing priorities and schedules.<br/></li><li>Ability to provide excellent customer service.<br/></li><li>Effective conflict resolution skills.<br/></li></ul><p style="margin-top:0px"><b>Work Authorization</b><br/></p><p style="margin-top:0px">Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US for any employer.
