This is a field-based, traveling role with work performed at customer locations, job sites, or roadside environments. Fleet vehicles include refrigerated trucks, buses, and fuel trucks. This role requires the ability to work independently in the field while delivering high-quality mechanical support, minimizing downtime, and ensuring safety and compliance with all applicable regulations.What does a typical day look like for the Diesel Mechanic?You will:<ul><li>Travel to customer sites, job sites, or company facilities to
 perform on-site diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on diesel engines and
 related systems.</li><li>Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines, transmissions,
 brakes, steering, suspension, electrical, and hydraulic systems.</li><li>Perform preventative maintenance services to ensure equipment
 reliability and reduce unexpected failures.</li><li>Use diagnostic tools, software, and technical manuals to identify
 mechanical and electronic issues.</li><li>Document all work performed, including service reports, parts
 used, and labor hours.</li><li>Communicate clearly with customers, supervisors, and dispatch
 regarding repair status, timelines, and recommendations.</li><li>Maintain service vehicle, tools, and inventory in a clean and
 operational condition.</li><li>Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, EPA, and company safety
 standards.</li><li>Provide emergency or after-hours service support as required.</li><li>Assist with equipment commissioning, inspections, or field
 upgrades when needed.</li></ul>   What qualifications do you look for?You might be the maintenance professional we're looking for if you have:<ul><li>The ability to work in the U.S. permanently
 without sponsorship.</li><li>High school diploma or GED; technical or trade school training
 preferred.</li><li>A minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a diesel mechanic
 or heavy equipment technician.</li><li>Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems (Cummins, Caterpillar,
 Detroit, Volvo, etc.).</li><li>Experience with electronic diagnostics, hydraulic systems, and
 electrical troubleshooting.</li><li>Valid driver's license and clean driving record.</li><li>Ability to travel to required location(s) with minimal notice or
 lead time.</li><li>Ability to travel extensively (often 70–90% travel) and work
 flexible hours.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in
 the field.</li><li>Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.</li><li>Ability to work in varying weather conditions and confined or
 industrial environments.</li><li>Ability to stand, kneel, climb, and work under equipment for
 extended periods.</li></ul>We are extra impressed by folks with:<ul><li>Cold-weather maintenance experience.</li><li>ASE Diesel Certifications (or equivalent).</li><li>CDL (Class A or B).</li><li>Ability to safely and efficiently tow vehicles.</li><li>Experience supporting fleets, construction equipment, generators,
