Key responsibilities include developing anesthetic plans, performing special line procedures, documenting assessments and intraoperative care, maintaining age-specific technical skills, staying current with anesthesia pharmacology and techniques, ensuring a safe environment, and performing Point of Care testing. The Anesthesia Care Provider responds to patients' anesthetic needs across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases, working under medical direction to administer anesthesia and coordinate care with perioperative staff.
