Oversees production process and flow of finished goods into the appropriate containers.</li><li>Leads the 5S and lean initiative on the production floor.</li><li>Clearly communicates production issues and schedule to all levels of the organization.</li><li>Implements departmental safety and EH&S programs to ensure the safety of employees working in the area.</li><li>Directs all personnel related actions including training, performance appraisal and professional development.</li><li>Collects data and reports on department metrics</li><li>Completes analysis on production issues that affect safety and quality including near miss follow up and “right first time” via root cause analysis.</li><li>Monitors and evaluates equipment and spare parts inventories.</li><li>Orders necessary supplies and parts within budgetary guidelines</li><li>Directs contractors on site, ensuring work is being done safely and efficiently in accordance with our EHS</li></ul>Education, Experience & Skills:<ul><li>B.S. Degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience</li><li>Minimum of 5 years industrial experience in the chemical blending industry required.</li><li>Prior supervisory experience is preferred.</li><li>Background in ISO-9000.</li><li>High level of initiative and responsibility.</li><li>Good communication skills.</li><li>Excellent organizational skills.</li><li>Lean and or six sigma training.</li></ul>Work EnvironmentWorks in a manufacturing environment and may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The associate is exposed to moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock and trip and slip hazards.
