The DMPK&M oncology modeling group develops mechanistic mathematical models of drug candidates and their effects on cancer using in vitro and animal data in order to translate preclinical findings into clinical projections of target patient population, biomarker modulation, and dose-response relationships. The current Takeda modus operandi when starting a new mathematical modeling activity is to start from scratch, resulting in duplication of effort across the modeling teams and bespoke models that are rarely QC’ed in a systematic way.
