MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES. • Responsible for general ledger and sub-systems • Prepare various check requests for processing • Examine expense reports for completeness and adherence to policies • Process daily bank deposits • Reconciliation of various accounts • Print and distribute Accounts Payable and Payroll checks • Calculate tax deposits and payments • Submission of the direct deposit file for payroll • Prepare and file tax reports • Assist in the preparation and distribution of W-2 Forms • Assist in preparation of financial statements • Assist in preparation of audit schedules • Work with various Federal and state agencies • Remain current with Federal and state regulations and general accepted accounting principles • Fulfill duties and responsibilities in their absence. The primary purpose of the Assistant Controller is to assist in the maintenance of the general ledger, cash management, accounts payable, and payroll.
