HOUR

Garden Court Chateau is seeking Dietary Cooks for part-time positions.Cook Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):<ul><li>Plan, prepare, cook and serve meals and snacks to residents, and when appropriate their family members or visitors.</li><li>Strictly adhere to sanitary guidelines, includes monitoring of food temperatures and cleaning of the kitchen and all cookware, dishes, etc.</li><li>Ensure the nutritional needs of the residents are met, including special diet restrictions</li><li>Demonstrate a sincere interest in the quality of meals being served to residents and guests.</li><li>Help organize and host community events such as family picnics, cookouts, holiday dinners, community coffee, etc.</li><li>Maintain good relationships with residents, family members, community guests, co-workers, etc.</li></ul>Cook Job Qualifications:<ul><li>Ability to read and follow recipes, labels, policies and procedures.</li><li>Ability to write and make simple calculations.</li><li>ServSafe certification, or agreement to complete certification at the next possible opportunity.</li><li>Must have a desire to work with seniors.</li><li>Requires level of knowledge normally required in the course of obtaining a high school diploma.</li><li>Work effectively with general supervision, ability to organize and manage own work load in a busy environment.
